Frequently asked questions.
What is a Keratin Lash Lift?
A Keratin Lash Lift curls and lifts your natural lashes. It doesn’t matter if your lashes are short, or stick straight, a lash lift is for everyone! My keratin lash lifts give you a beautiful base curl and go up. Never curls in and never over processed. The results are beautifully soft and silky natural lashes that will stay curled 6+ weeks.
Is a Lash Lift damaging to my natural lashes?
No, but as other services, they must be done correctly. At each visit I will analyze your natural lashes to choose the appropriate processing time, and curl shape to give you beautiful results, without the damage. Your lashes are hydrated 4 times!! This is a chemical process of the hair structure, this is why hydration at your appointment, and aftercare is very important. Hair must be conditioned daily to avoid damage; we highly recommend purchasing a keratin conditioning treatment, available for purchase, to keep your lashes at optimal health. Be mindful of excessive rubbing, as this can cause the lashes to break. Keeping them nourished will help prevent breakage.
I’ve had a lash lift done before, and all the lashes kinked and twisted. Will this happen again?
This may be a result of a couple things: wrong shaping and/or over-processed. I use my extensive knowledge, training and expertise to avoid these results. However, proper aftercare plays a major part. To avoid kink, twisting, and unruly growth, we recommend conditioning the lashes daily. Preferably with a Keratin conditioning treatment. By conditioning the lashes, you are replenishing the hair of much needed nourishment to continue to grow softly. This also helps your lash lift last longer.
My previous lash lift done elsewhere did not take. There was hardly any difference. Why did this happen?
When the hair is not processed long enough, using the correct products, the results can be minimal, or non-existent. This is why I analyze your lashes at each appointment and choose the correct chemicals to ensure you have your desired results. I always give you realistic expectations based on your natural lashes, which is why my lash lifts are customized. Knowing how chemicals work on the lashes will guarantee a lift without damage. I also offer a 1 week guarantee. See Terms & Conditions for details.
I am allergic to lash extensions glue, will the lash lift glue cause allergic reactions?
No, as the components and ingredients of the two are completely different. Lash lift glue is a water soluble, and gentle adhesive. It never touches your skin and it is removed at the end of the service. If you’re concerned about possible reactions, or you have sensitive skin, we recommend coming in for a patch test 24 hours prior to your appointment.
What is the aftercare of a Lash Lift & Brow Lamination?
Keeping your lashes dry for 12 hours after your appointment is critical in maintaining the health of the lashes. Avoid any kind of moisture such as steam, sweat, mascara, water, swimming, hot tubs, etc. Exposing the lashes to moisture prior to 12 hours can strip the lashes of the much needed moisture provided by the leave-in conditioner. You MUST condition the lashes daily with the Keratin conditioning treatment to keep them strong and moisturized.
What is a Brow Lamination?
Brow Lamination is the reshaping of the brow hairs, thru a perm process. This will help achieve a fluffier, wispier brow, which makes them appear fuller with the new redirection of the brow hair. Brows must be kept moisture-free and dry for 24 hours. Price includes brow cleanup and tint, but not required. NOT recommended for severely sparse hair, or sensitive skin.
What's the difference between Lash Extensions & Lash Lift?
Extensions will look like you already have makeup on, and reduces the amount of time you need to get ready in the mornings. They also give your lashes a longer and fuller appearance. A lash filler and tint will curl and color the lashes you already have. Both services can provide the look you desire (natural vs. glam), but lash extensions are more customizable when trying to replace the need for makeup.
